The Czech-Indian Chamber of Commerce (CZINCC) is pleased to welcome Škoda Group as its newest member. As a major European manufacturer of vehicles, technologies and components for public transport, Škoda Group sees India as one of its strategic markets. With significant investment underway in railway infrastructure, urban transport and sustainable mobility, India offers strong opportunities for the Group’s expertise in rolling stock, electric propulsion systems and advanced technologies for modern public transport.

Škoda Group is already building a long-term presence in the country. Together with TATA AutoComp, it has established a joint venture to manufacture propulsion systems and components for railway vehicles in India. The partnership combines Škoda Group’s technology and engineering expertise with TATA AutoComp’s knowledge of the Indian market and local supply chains. The Group’s ambition is not simply to supply technologies to India, but to develop local manufacturing capabilities, work with Indian suppliers and build solutions tailored to the needs of the country’s rapidly growing transport sector.
Joining CZINCC is another step in this strategy. Through the Chamber, Škoda Group aims to develop new business and industrial partnerships while sharing the practical experience it has gained from operating in India. “When we founded the Chamber, we hoped to see among our members renowned Czech companies that have historically helped pave the way in India. Škoda Group is exactly such an example, and we greatly appreciate its commitment to working through our Chamber to improve the conditions for trade and industrial cooperation between the Czech Republic and India. I believe Škoda Group’s experience can also benefit smaller Czech companies that are only beginning to explore this promising market,” says Jan Musil, President of the Czech-Indian Chamber of Commerce.
